Systematics & Biodiversity
In our working group we deal with evolutionary tendencies of morphological and ecological characters in different plant groups (grasses, Cyperaceae, Ranunculaceae, Saxifragaceae…) and habitats of this world (Central Europe, Artic, high mountains). We investigate the evolution, phylogeny and spatio-temporal radiation of species, their history of settlement and speciation process and we try to trace the development of characteristics and ecological adaptations.
